You'll need this air distribution box if you're upgrading your RV's AC to a 2025 ducted or ductless system with the new R32 refrigerant. New ACs will not work with any systems from 2024 or earlier.

Notes:
The air distribution box also offers Advent Air's Flash Freeze technology. This technology consists of 3 slotted registers and 1 curved, louvered vent that provide maximum airflow whether your system is ductless or ducted. This enables the unit to cool the interior of your RV or camper more quickly than other air distribution boxes that might only have 2 registers or don't have a louvered vent. If you have a ducted system, you will have air coming out of the ducts, the registers, and the vent. Or for more evenly distributed airflow, you can divert more cool air through the ducts and use the sliding switches to close the registers.
This air distribution box includes a wall-mounted thermostat that lets you control the operating mode, fan settings, and temperature settings, and also turn the system on and off. Simply hit the MODE button to switch between 3 modes: cooling, furnace, and heat strip.
To operate the fan, press the FAN button. The thermostat offers auto, low, medium, and high fan speed settings that let you increase or decrease airflow as needed. In the auto setting, the fan will turn on and off with the compressor or furnace, and the speed of the fan will be determined by the temperature.
To set the temperature, press both arrow buttons. Then use the buttons individually to either lower or raise the temperature. The thermostat will display the temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius. To switch from Fahrenheit to Celsius, or vice versa, press both arrow buttons for 3 seconds.
The thermostat has a blue LED display and large, user-friendly buttons that are easy to see. 15 Seconds after the last button is pressed, the blue light will turn off, which helps save power. The thermostat also has indicator lights that act as a confirmation as to whether the fan, the cooling setting, or the heat setting is currently being adjusted.

This part isn’t compatible with the interior wiring of the RV, according to the last person I talk to has something to do with you guys switching from an R 18 to an R 32. But basically I’ve spent $1200 and I’m totally screwed and now I’ve got to hire an AC guy on top of everything because it isn’t plug-in like you said it was.
Installed unit, blower fan makes noise and sticks regardless of how the tourge on the tie down bolts are
Still having problems the the installation the system is still showing E-5 !!

I am sorry to hear you are having issues after installing your new AC Dirk! On Advent Air units, E5 generally indicates a communication error between the ceiling assembly control box and the thermostat. Essentially, the thermostat is not properly talking to the AC’s control board. You will need to reach out to our friends Avent for some troubleshooting as they may need to have a tech come out and look at it. I will email you their information.
Worked for about a minute then quit. Just like the first one.

I am very sorry to hear that you have now received 2 Air Distribution Boxes with the same issue. What is the model number to your Air Conditioner? I want to make sure that it is the new R32 Refrigerant and not the old R410a Refrigerant. The switch just happened this year, and the old R410a is not compatible with the new R32. The Air Distribution Box you purchased is for the R32.

I am sorry to hear the fan seems to be making noise or sticking. The biggest way to resolve this is by simply taking the plastic shroud off of the AC unit and seeing if there is any dirt or debris in the fan that may be causing it to stick or make noise. That is the most common issue with those fans.
